英语单词assist的用法讲解
英文单词assist的意思是“提供帮助”或“协助”。它是一个及物动词，可以接宾语，也可以有宾语从句，表示主动支持、提供帮助或协助他人完成某事。
assist的用法有三种：
一、assist sb. to do sth.：
即“帮助/协助某人做某事”。如：I will assist you to finish the project on time.（我会协助你按时完成项目。）
二、assist sb. with sth.：
即“为某人提供帮助/协助，帮助某人完成某事”。如：The new teacher assisted us with learning English.（新老师为我们提供帮助，帮助我们学习英语。）
三、assist sb. in doing sth.：
即“协助某人完成某事”。如：He assisted me in moving the furniture.（他帮助我搬家具。）
除了上述三种，还可以把assist用作名词，表示“帮助、协助”，一般是作主语、宾语，或用在句子中作定语，如：The assistance he provided was very useful.（他提供的帮助很有用。）
