Exclude作为动词，表示“拒绝接纳，不包括，不让…进入”的意思，其构成形式有exclude（sb./sth.）from sth. 和 exclude sb./sth. ，两种表达形式，其中exclude sth. from sth. 是主要形式。
1、其中exclude sb./sth. from sth.在具体应用中常指“把某人/某物排除在某事物之外”，意思是说不让某人或某物进入某事物中，是一种具有拒绝的意思，如：
He excluded me from the discussion.
他把我排除在讨论外。
The new law excludes children under 16 from smoking in public.

2、其中exclude sb./sth，常用来表示“不包括；不让…进入”的意思，即不让某人或某物参与某事物中，也是一种具有拒绝的意思，如：
