then作为副词可以表示时间，意思是“接着，其次，随后”，例如：
First I'll clean the kitchen, then I'll study English.
先把厨房打扫一下，然后再学英语。
then有时也可以表示转折关系，意思是“但是，可是，然而”，例如：
I wanted to go to the movie, but then I remembered I had a lot of homework to do.
